Checklist to Use While Planning for a Baby Shower.

The joy that comes with a newborn in a family calls for celebrations with family and friends. Planning a baby shower can be tricky sometimes if it is your first time. This article will provide you a baby shower checklist divided into the time to the date of the baby shower to help you plan a successful baby shower.

Ten weeks before.

Date.
Pick a date and time which comes just before the due date or weeks later after the baby comes home. Ensure you make consultations with the guests so as not to inconvenience them especially if they will be traveling.

Venue.
Pick the location where the baby shower will be held, maybe it's your place or at a volunteer's place and sometimes you may decide to have it at a restaurant. If you settle on a restaurant, make reservations. Just ensure it is a comfortable place for the attendees.

Guest list.
Who are the guests apart from the guest of honor? You may decide to make it women only thing or invite couples. If it is a surprise contact the honoree's closest friends and family to give you a list of people they think should be included and if it's not a surprise, then you can contact her. Include the addresses and emails of the guests as they will be of importance when sending invitations.

Host and budget.
Decide on the host; it could be a single person or co-hosting. You can then prepare a reasonable and realistic budget of the expected expenses.

A month to the baby shower date.

Theme.
Choose a theme of the Pink Ducky party which might be a garden or traditional theme but remember to consider the expectant mothers taste because it's her day.

Invitations.
Send out invitations with the crucial details and attach a card to show where gifts can be dropped if the honoree has registered a place. Also, remember to give a map to the location where the party will be held.

Shopping.
You may now start shopping for decorations, game prizes, favors and any other supplies which are not perishable.

Plan the menu.
Make a list of easy to make foods or if it is buying ready-made food then give the provider your menu. It can be a brunch which is way traditional but preferably evening dinners.

Days before the party.
This is the time to order the cake, assign a photographer, clean up if the party is to be held at home. When the date comes closer, complete grocery purchases, set up the party space, pick up the cake and flowers and select someone to help the honoree.
